About the  Labor Day Car Show
Presented by the Clifton Lions Club and City of Fairfax

The Annual Labor Day Car Show is a free spectator event now in its 19th year. Each year, hundreds of vehicles have lined the city streets providing an impressive display of every kind of car, truck, and motorcycle imaginable to excited spectators. Over the years, the Car Show has grown into a Labor Day tradition in Northern Virginia, drawing thousands of visitors of all ages. There is lots of free parking and many nearby Fairfax restaurants will be open to serve you.

Lions Clubs International is an international secular, non-political service organization with more than 1.4 million members in over 200 countries whose mission is to meet the needs of communities on a local and global scale. The Clifton Lions Club serves the Northern Virginia area through community service and monetary donations exceeding $50,000 annually to over 30 charitable organizations. For more information on Lions Clubs programs and membership, visit www.lionsclubs.org or www.clcv.clubexpress.com.

The City of Fairfax provides an ideal locale for the Labor Day Car show, combining open spaces in a historic setting with easy access and plenty of spectator parking. In addition to providing oversight, promotional, security, and public works services for the show, the City Government actively encourages involvement by the business community. Due to the generosity of our sponsors and donors over $395,000 has been raised and gifted to local charities over the last 18 years. Each year, the Clifton Lions donates all of the show proceeds to local community service organizations, with The Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program and Life with Cancer being the major recipients.  Other organizations include the Lamb Center, Fairfax Host Lions Club, Masons Acacia Lodge #16, Shriners Kena Car Club, American Legion Post 177, Safe Haven Recovery, Northern Virginia Family Service, and the City of Fairfax Fire and Police Departments.
